Dr Lakshmi Pandit has been in the field of psychiatry for more than 30 years, during which she has gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience. Having graduated from NIMHANS, a premier institute in the country, she completed her National Board Examinations and secured a DNB degree.
She has been a faculty in the Department of Psychiatry, Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, for 27 years, from where she retired as Professor and Head of the Department and is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Shri Atal Bihari Medical College and Research Centre.
She is an Undergraduate and Postgraduate teacher and guided several postgraduate students in their thesis work. Her areas of expertise include Adult Psychiatry, Child and adolescent psychiatry, Deaddiction psychiatry, and Psychotherapy, which includes Individual therapy and interpersonal and Marital counseling. She is keen on research and has several publications to her credit.
